Fr. Lijo Thomas CMI (2013-2016) – Father provided the critical wisdom and discernment required for the Eucharistic community to grow and flourish.The idea of an own church was visualized under the apt guidance of Fr. Lijo. From the latter half of 2015, it was decided to organize a prayer meeting every second Sunday of the month. Accordingly a committee was set up to explore possibilities to purchase land and meticulous planning was made for fund raising. Competitions, fun and frolic, joint auction with the traditional Onam Sadhya, knit the Eucharistic community. Parish retreat along with Chavara youth members also helped in keeping the rich pristine faith. Catechism students were encouraged to learn the prayers in Malayalam and participate in
choir. Special attention was to initiate the students to lead the choir and bestow their contributions- every last Sunday of the month .At the threshold of Lent and Advent catechism students are encouraged to reach out to the disadvantaged. Orphanage visits to Thrithwa Ashram; Little Sisters of the poor, orphanage run by Missionaries of Charity propelled the students to the service of others and motivated them to live a life of faith, to share our gifts and talents with the underprivileged. The boys in the community received the grace to assist the priest at the Sacred Liturgy as altar boys from 2013. There were given special training to display the utmost respect and reverence.
